This is for the "incomplete" forum but I couldn't figure out how to put it there.

Ok, so I need your help! This is a fast, hopefully exciting, chord sequence on the middle strings of the guitar. Played clean: no amp, no effects.

I'm looking for suggestions of songs that sound similar to this so that I can learn how this kind of thing is meant to sound. Or, if you can suggest amps/effects to use, that would also be great. I have Guitar Rig, so I'm good on that front.

Please be liberal with your song suggestions! It's much better to have too many than too few. Thanks!

Instantly, I'm reminded a little of Radiohead a bit. You could slap a little delay or reverb on this and perhaps a small amount of distortion (not to much, though... as I like the interplay on this.)

Do you use a real amp and have decent mics? If so, you can probably get a better sound than with guitar rig in all honesty, though guitar rig is pretty cool. I would suggest trying something like a fender twin or a smaller clean combo amp. Try the twin clean and the combo amp with a small amount of natural distortion. I would add a small amount of echo or delay. You may want to experiment with a phaser. The key is to not go overboard with effects. I would like to see where you can go with the song, though. This is a very small section. Maybe you could go with a combo amp just barely clipping and then push the amp in the chorus into "natural" simulated tube overdrive.

As jawoodrufs said you could check out Radiohead. Maybe Coldplay and Green Day too if you want more alternative rock stuff.
