Arrangement of Dance ti' thy Daddy (alternatively known as When The Boat Comes In or), a traditional English folk song, originating in Northumberland. It was popularised as the theme tune to the 1970s BBC drama serial When The Boat Comes In in an arrangement by the composer David Fanshawe. The song was also used in the TV advertisement for Young's fish, Sea to Plate campaign.

Good arrangement! I'm still developing my orchestration skills, so I couldn't really comment on your orchestration, but I do find the interplay between the various groups interesting. I didn't know about the song, though. Do you do a lot of these kinds of arrangements?

This is a nice arrangement, but I was left scratching my head a little between 1:00 and about 1:50. Is that middle minor section in the original song? Or are you developing material? If it is development I think you need to go further. Also, I'm not a fan of the lead-in to the final section, but overall this is very good work.

Thanks guys!

The middle minor section was my own take on the tune, we had to just have a simple theme and variation. It is for 3rd year musician ship on my degree.

Glad you enjoyed it!
