Doodle No 15 'Indifferent Twinkle'

Sort of a personal experiment. I write these short pieces in about a day and call them doodles so that no one can mistakenly take them too seriously. It's mostly just to try out ideas. I figure there's no sense in trashing the results.Anyway, this is my first attempt at uploading something here so go easy on me.

Doodle No 15 'Indifferent Twinkle'

I see where you got the title! It's very light and mysterious and it would be a favorite on the stage.

This reminds me of Satie... ''furniture music'', he called it.

I like the indication under the tempo.

I think it's a bit repetitive and once the main theme is established there's no real harmonic interest or mood change.

Cool piece though.

This would be wonderful incidental music: the atmosphere is, I think, enrapturing, and I think this simple ditty is a lot better than you thought it would come out :lol:

This is so floaty and spacey, it's kind of like a dream about being suspended in the clouds or the air or something of that sort. The indifference is there, reflected in the repetitiveness of the notes (especially the thirds)...but I don't think that apathetic feel is as pervasive as you intended. There's too much feeling and articulation, and even some rubato, in the piece to make it feel like it was a thrown together, random ditty you just wrote for no reason, and thus the music feels like it really has a purpose.
