April 12, 201015 yr Hi everybody, this is my first post on YoungComposers!This was a fun piece I composed for piano and voice. I couldn't come up with any lyrics though, just the basic idea of the uplifting feeling of a sunrise. Starts in A major, ends in E major, basic ABA form. In my opinion, this song is quite jolly. =) Enjoy! Sunrise
April 13, 201015 yr Welcome! You definitely succeeded in making something upbeat. It' seems uniformly "active" across the piece--maybe you could use a change of pace here or there. Is the "flute" meant to hold the place for voice? --Jim
April 15, 201015 yr Author Yeah, the "flute" is actually how MIDI plays the human voice, quite interesting. I agree with you about the monotonous nature of the song, maybe I'll make the first theme a little quieter and less busy on the piano. By the way, do you know how people make a play bar on their composition page instead of just having a link that says "play music"?
