Short Rock Ballad

Featured Replies

A Short Chord Progression I wrote a while ago.recorded guitar and bass, Garageband for the strings and drums.I made some small mistakes, with the guitar and drums mainly. the drums with rythm, and the guitar with accidentally playing the wrong note and very quickly switching to the correct one.

Short Rock Ballad

mistakes aren't too noticeable. sometimes you can play it off as if it was intended.

keep up the good stuff

hey zach , its a nice relaxing piece , the chord progression is conservative , not that much creative but musically you did a fair job , the guitar solo when the strings entered needs a bit more work, maybe you should do it a melody-like solo . overall good job !

Well first off, didn't really hear much of the bass. A good rock song, especially ballads, need a really good bass line. You should try more than just basic root note stuff. The drums are a bit too jumpy for my taste, I'd keep the bass drum more subtle. And maybe add a nice tom beat on top. The progression is nice, but you really need a memorable theme, something an average person can whistle while showering. Rock songs without a good theme are forgettable.
