May 11, 201015 yr This was a lot easier than the last classical "piece" I uploaded. But to me it's more heart wrenching, with a hint of freedom and hope at the end. Reminds me of The Last of the Mohicans! lolThe tempo might be a wittle too fast, and there's some weird clicking sounds too...Anybody knows a good program with which I can write orchestral pieces? Hopeful
May 12, 201015 yr nice, i liked the rhythms going into there, you did manage to catch that somber feeling, and at the same time that 'free-flowing' feel. My only thing was the ending, it just seemed abrupt and left off, but then again, ending the song always seems to be the hardest part, cause you never know exactly what you want to do. As for programs, I personally use Acoustica Mixcraft 5, you'd have to dish out 70.00 US Dollars for the program if you don't want any 'ad's' from Acoustica asking to buy their product after 14 days, but overall, I think the program is well worth the price, actually I believe it might be heavily underpriced.
May 12, 201015 yr oops, forgot to mention, Mixcraft 5 has a new notation feature, so If you prefer to write in notation as apposed to midi loops like in FL studio, you can do that, but Mixcraft 5's layout is about the same, quite easy to figure out.
May 12, 201015 yr really beautiful, i don't know why you keep using those synthesized sounds, makes it sound like a duran duran ballad :D i think you got great chops drue, with the proper libraries you'd sound pretty unique, to me your music is straight, no chaser. cheers! and give us a proper ending!!
May 12, 201015 yr Author Ok jhardindrums ill have to check that out! Thanks and Ouch! J! Duran Duran ballad...not exactly what i was going for if you know what I mean lol. With my limited knowledge of FL (which is now rapidly growing thanks to everybody's input), maybe Ill be able to use less crappy sounding samples lol. Oh and sorry about not having and ending, I get scared when I have to end a song so Ijust leave it at that hehe. Maybe it's not fair, but laziness...
May 12, 201015 yr Author You know what else J? I think my music is straight because...well that's all I'm capable of. I sit down and try to stimulate my muse, but I can never really come up with anything that's not "straight" lol Am I making any sense? I guess that uniqueness that you sense comes from an uncanny lack of ability hehe Id like to improve, but the only tool Ive got is practice and I haven't been making good use of it :s Did anyone else realize i spelled fair with ai instead of ea. I really need to get out of Mexico now, my English is suffering immensely? And on another post i spelled write like right....My goodness.
