May 14, 201016 yr hey , good piece , but i think you should have changed a bit in it before the choir enters , like do some violin section melody that the choir sings . like anything to keep the listener interested . but after the choir enters the piece gets really good , the melody is very enjoyable , but could you please say whats the purpose of this piece , and whats its theme?
May 15, 201016 yr Author ... could you please say whats the purpose of this piece , and whats its theme? as a matter of fact this piece was something I wrote just to "relax" while I was writing more serious music (my Adagio Lamentoso for string orchestra). The title is related to a personal experience.
May 15, 201016 yr Hi!! You've done a excellent job of creating the pieceful atmospehere. HOwever, I think the full strings patch let you down throughout. You could also add some variation, but I suppose that's choice. I thought that you could have lead this to a climax or have some more sense of direction.
May 15, 201016 yr That was beautiful bmiranda. When the single voice sings over the strings, turn the strings down and the voice up so that you can hear her a bit more clearly. The voices could be a little louder throughout the whole piece. Sometimes it sounds like your piece is too complex and it doesn't come through clearly. 1:23-1:24 does this to me. It's get a little too confusing and it interrupts the beautiful flow of your piece. Wonderful job, -John
June 8, 201115 yr Hi Bruno. First off, I really enjoyed this piece, however there were a few improvements I found that you could add. First: At the very start of the piece, you have chords with breaks in between. This is fine for the start, however, after that beautiful chord sequence, around 0:22, I would add a slow violin solo, to add texture. I would also have the chords roll into each other after 0:22, and not have the breaks anymore. Keep the violin solo running with the first vocals. I've got to say, that after the first vocals, the piece really took off and blew me away, it really was beautiful. After the take off, in the piece, it was perfect, and I cannot think of any improvements that can be made. Overall: at the moment it's a brilliant and beautiful piece, if you make the changes that I and some other reviewers have said, it will be a perfect work of genius. Good job!! Hope this helps, -Phil
