Game Soprano Solo w/ Pizz. Strings

This selection is intended to be an exploration loop during segments in an illusionary forest (or something similar.) It was originally intended for harp and soprano, but after listening to terrible harp samples for hours, I converted it to pizzicato strings and was pleasantly surprised.The pizzicato string wasn't originally very deep, but I got a surprising increase in *thwump*-factor by running it through tube distortion with lots of body resonance. After some reverb and a very light background tapping to keep the lonely parts moving, it was done.

Nice composition, the sound and harmonies illustrates the forest good! Maybe

a little slower tempo, and a very quiet violin in the background just to follow the

harmony, i think it will add a nice effect!

The pizz. definitely sound cool; very oomph-y. The voice lets you down, however. It's too artificial and rigid. Perhaps you could swap in a different instrument like a glock, a flute, or a harp.

Reverse, a slower tempo would definitely suit this as well, I just ran it at about 100 BPM and it still sounded rather fitting (though the thwump of the strings did fade out a bit more between notes.) Thanks for the good advice, I'll also definitely see what it's like with a violin complimenting the harmony!

John, thanks for the positive words about the pizz. backing! I also felt that the soprano voice was too artificial and emotionless, but I have yet to find quality samples pre-made, and I'm not adept enough yet to edit up my own, haha. In addition, I just messed around with alternate instruments; apparently the English horn is well-suited here, but I'd rather continue my search for the perfect vocal patch so that one day, the sample-soprano will be wise enough to play it like it's imagined

Really nice, i like the melodies, are beautiful. The pizz sounds very good, is precise, the right and necessary, the soprano voice is absolutely beautiful, the dynamics are perfect, ...

While i listened this (i didn't know that its duration was less than 1 minute), i thought this work have a long duration, i was wrong... i think this could be better, because i imagine something more developed for this work, more long...... is too short!

Would be a good idea continue with the idea of this composition, it's really nice
