My first... I don't know.....

Featured Replies

Ok, so I bumped into this forum a while back. After listening to the genius of young composers, I said, what the hell! So I grabbed a pen and some paper. And strange and exotic notes were written down. I took my new found song and popped it into Guitar Pro. And well, ya. I have no idea what I was doing with this song. Here it is anyway.

Please tell me what I should be doing.

P.S. My musical theory is only what I have learned playing my saxophone.

Cheers,

Erik

This your first song?

Well, what shall I say...

I mean, is there any thought nehind the piece what do you want it to be what do you want it to "reflect".

First I think that it is a very slim line if you understand, only one instrument that sarts very slowly as if where to accompany another instrument, but that instrument never comes. It is just one melodi with no comp. But in the 44 second, I think there sarted to develop something, rather nice actually but then it turned into the same old monotone thing. The it hit me there are almost no chords at all, the end was also very awkward as if it had just med cut-off.

How long have you been playing saxophone?

Take this as constructive critisism, just keep on composing but as i said earlier this song need much more flesh.

But a good try for being you first song ever

Ahahah, yes this is my first song! No, no I'm afraid there is not idea or concept behind this song. I was just filled with the urge to put some notes down on a piece of paper.

Brilliant idea! I shall add another instrument, a counter-melody so to speak.

I

Hey man it sounds a little like something I posted a while ago.

I'm not going to comment. (Where is the end note?)

I would feel like a hypocrit if I were to criticize you while I used to write the same kind of thing.
