Hey Lavr,

Very pretty pieces! I was playing along with them to get a better sense. You could probably transition one into the other if you wanted. You might play around with each one a little more individually and find that they develop in completely different direction. Right now, chances feels a bit slower and emotional than sadness. Sadness feels a bit like soul/rnb music. Chances has more hope and regret mixed into it.

What if, these pieces acted as movements or tracks in an album? They could be part of the same story just be expressing times in them. That's where I'd like you see go with this. Fully develop both of the pieces but have them relate on a thematic level. That would be mad cool!

However you choose to develop these pieces, make sure you vary things up like texture. Don't always have all the instruments playing all the time. Give some the solo sometimes while the others are a lot simpler. You'll get a lot of different colours and combinations of colours.

I look forward to hearing how this turns out.

Good luck, Lavr!
