Battle Music final

Featured Replies

"I need about a minute of music for a battle scene". For my friends anime again, same thing that like, half of my uploads here are for heh. She wanted something "Ghost in the shell"-esque, in that sci-fi vein at least. I wanted to have a sort of "symphonic" sound that you hear a LOT in most anime, but i also wanted to use something a bit dirtier and more industrial, so it's massive and deep as well. gigidy.

Battle Music Original

This is pre-mastered, i'll reupload when the balance isn't as woncky

Battle Music final

Same song, but mixed and mastered so it sounds sexier

Cool piece, Maddrummer.

To me, the instrument (guitar, or electric piano) playing the melody isn't seeming to fit well with the sound of your piece. All the other instruments are exciting and get you pumped up, but that main guitar thing boring in comparison.

Peace on Earth,

Thanks very much!

Hey,

I like the piece. But I think for a battle scene your melody and harmonies sound too "nice" imo. Especially the major chord with which you end it, doesn't fit, I think. I'd definitely end in a minor chord. But I don't know your and your friends exact intentions, so if you like it, it's ok.

The mix is quite good, I think :)

Hey, Maddrummer, well done! I don't exactly agree with John in that your choice of main instrument was odd, but I would definitely filter out some of the higher frequencies. In the low intro line, the instrument fits in very well, but as it climbs higher, my ear starts to be distracted by the brightness of it. Also, I feel like the little organ(?) accompaniments like that at 0:12 are a bit distracting from the mood of "tense battle."

I didn't really think that the mood was too nice, but I definitely don't picture this as a battle with someone who is pure evil or anything like that, I see it as more of a fight with regular villains or even a friendly rival. Also, the ending feels very out of place to me, since you went from "fight, fight, fight!" to the end in the span of about three seconds.

Nice work overall, though, I look forward to hearing more from you!

Good call, that actually is an organ. I see what you're saying, i could try adjusting the eq on that, fl's got gorgeous six band parametric eq things. Also, it IS a battle for regular villians/friendly rival, this is for the first episode where it just shows off the main character in a simulator kind of thing, and at the end they wanted a "game over" type of feel. It sounds like almost all of that came through, so I'm very excited! Thank all you guys for the comments!

I like it :)

The melody is very nice, and the beginnig is just awesome!

Also loved the "game over" feeling at the end, I can totally picture this playing on an anime =)

Very well done, keep it up!

Don't watch anime as much as I used to but I can definitely see this fitting in.

I liked the synths and the melodies used in this.
