This song is about moment before love...

passionate waft

Hey tercjawski,

I definitely start feeling the love when the harp comes in. The piece has a minimalist feel before that.

The style keeps jumping around with this track! The violins come in and there's different beat with it too.

A few seconds later, we gotta a new style that playing with the offbeats a lot. It's a nice transition back into your other theme around 2:30.

3:06, repeating that theme. I'm not sure about that choice. I'd much prefer it you skipped straight into that new section at 4:06.

You gotta another cool beat there.

I think the structure of this piece would make a lot more sense if you had a singer singing choruses and verses overtop of your piece. Have you ever thought about writing words to it? Otherwise, it doesn't really seem like the piece is going anywhere when you keep coming back to the chorus and the opening.

Interesting piece, tercjawski.

John

i really appreciate it for your loooong comment:) lots of good tips.

christopher :)

First of all, are you using a DAW or notation?

The oboe+bassoon at the start could do with some quietening down - it's too much of a contrast with the silence in between. I like the harp that comes in, also the violins that pop in - it was extremely effective in creating a new rhythm.

I agree with John that the structure is a little in question - make sure you know where you're going. Mix wise too, it could have been better if it's a DAW, but if it's notation, then it's prettygood ;)

I don't get the romantic feeling though! I think for before love, it's too fast of a beat, and too comparatively exciting - I thought of people investigating a new world. I think the ending was a little sudden it just had a drum roll, one sustained note, then stopped. Remember, the ending is important, and should be reasonably gradual.

Overall pretty sweet though, just a few little nitpicks :D Thanks for sharing!!
