Short piano variation on a Dutch song

One of the variations I wrote/am writing on an old Dutch song. Pedal markings might not be all toghether favorable, but I'm gonna leave them out anyway. The slurs outline the (original) melody. I couldn't stop listening to this one. I do hope you continue to develop this idea and make it longer.

Thanks for your comment. I´ve been thinking and I might just do that, expanding this into a stand alone-kind of piece. A prelude, or something like my own ´albumblätter´ or ´lieder ohne worte´, instead of making this part of a variations on a theme. But regardless of the ultimate form I do agree I must develop this further, I think it has the potential to do so at least :happy:

The only thing with this is that it is too short. I totally agree that you should develop this.

I'm seconding Ian's comment. I was left wanting more! Sure would like to hear the rest of the variations. Finish it up so we can hear it!

very good but it begs on its knee for more,much too short,anyway its a great start from which you can develop,i hope you will cause this sound promising.

The piece is interisting but too short... you can will compose a piece more long with this melody, for example a theme with 10 variations...

This has been in my (digital) drawer for too long now... it's time to take it out and start working on it again once I find me some time!
