VioletSun - musical rehearsal

Featured Replies

Just a short rehearsal with a répétiteur regarding the musical VioletSun. So there is no post production and mixing process. The soprano Veronica warms up her voice. Anyhow, not all notes are correct but I like her voice so much; composed / developed with Sibelius 6.2 I love this project, the stage and choreographers!

Wow, Nemesis! That's pretty awesome! Did you write the lyrics as well?

She has a nice voice but sometimes, it's hard to understand what words she's saying.

Your piano accompaniment was interesting but it felt a little too busy. I wish it was a bit more supportive. A lot of times, it sounded like you were missing parts of the harmony to make it really sound full.

I really like your choice of guitar and violin to compliment the singer and the piano. Works really well. I wish there was a bit more for them to play. You probably can't extend the scene, but what if you brought them in a little earlier?

Great work, Nemesis!

Hi John, thanks for your kind words. Yes, I have to wrtie the lyrics as well - but it is not my favorite occupation. Hehe, you've to that she has a Bavarian accent. To break her of that is not easy ^^ That's right. I've tried to create a "strange" piano accompaniment. Because I can remember lot of people like that; it's not the default and a part of my language regarding composing. Perhaps I will try to use the violin and guitar in the next scenes more and more often.
