Contemporary Jazz for Two Pianos

Featured Replies

This is something that I started working on a long while ago. Then the piece went in the vault and I apparently locked it shut because I did not compose anything for a year nearly. I didn't even so much as sit down and write a note. Well, I decided I wanted to do something so I went back to this piece and I have been working on it again for a couple of days. I am trying to straighten out the notation of what I have and make it make more sense. I am also trying to write a contrapuntal line for the first time and with no understanding of counterpoint either. Then I will start developing it further. If anyone has any suggestions on improving harmony, rhythm, notation, the counterpoint, etc. please tell me what you think.

Contemporary Jazz for Two Pianos

It's a very blocky theme. I think the tempo could be increased just a tad bit. I like the sonorities your creating here - I can see this coming alive with real pianists AND with a lil bit of improv on there part. Not bad for a years break form composition.

I can't view the score because I don't have finale, and I get an error when I try to "play music".

I second the play music error. It gives me this:
