Ascend-Descend-Ascend

Featured Replies

I wanted to create a strongly defined ABA form to perhaps sound like an aircraft or airship landing and taking off again. The B part is in good old 4-part harmony.

The B part is a sort of variation of the A, I think it would be better to have a completely new part, or perhaps not so different but with a very different beat or the theme in a different tonality, because when the Bell-alike sounds and kinda stops, the new part start with the same tonic on the synth-strings, that's why "seems" some how the same... also the transitions between sections not necessarily have to be so evident.

The melodic strings at 1:05 could be louder.

Other than the transitions, I think this works well as a decent background. It's a bit too bass-light and rhythm-light to be a dance track, but for sure as like an early 90s Roger Corman score.

It does work well as background, like soundtrack work etc but I think there would have to be more variation for it to be anything other than background music to me. However it is great for background music.
