Piano piece i d-minor

Featured Replies

Hi there,I didn't post here for quiet a while so this is probably not the best piece to celebrate my comeback here^^It doesn't have any form or stile, but it has lots of modulations and a nice theme.I'm looking forward to hear your opinions. The piece is recorded with a Steinway C and Rode microphones, the score will follow later (I am not too sure about some notations right now.)Enjoy =)

It's a great piece it remainds me of early Beethoven style. I'm not sure about the ending I think it needs some thing. Other than that love the piece. I will be able to give you more of my own opinion once I see the score.

I love the themes. Great piece (perhaps you should write a 2nd movement?) Great recording, what model of Rode mic is it?

Man! It's so nice to hear some real recordings on this site as opposed to MIDI renderings (an act that I myself am guilty of...). baartek was right- this does have a very early Beethoven feel to it. I feel that this could comprise part of a whole sonata... but it's very very good on it's own regardless. I'd like to see a score if you have one!

Hey guys. Cheers for your kind words!

I like Beethoven very much, so thats fine for me

I am not gong to make a Sonata it doesn't really has the right form for that. It's more some kind of variations about the theme you hear in the beginning.

The score will take a little while, maybe 1 or 2 more weeks, because I have to finish some more important work.

YES! This is awesome :D I can't wait for the score!

It's so good very impressive, and I agree very Beethoven in the most part. The lack of form confuses me though, not that it matters when the music itself is this good!

This is so good. So good in fact, the main theme could probably be used to make a great sonata. Love the counterpoint you did. Fantastic.

The piano is a musical instrument played by means of a keyboard. It is one of the most popular instruments in the world. Widely used in Classical music for solo performances, ensemble use, chamber music and accompaniment, the piano is also very popular as an aid to composing and rehearsal. Although not portable and often expensive, the piano's versatility and ubiquity have made it one of the world's most familiar musical instruments.
