Time Traveller's Love Theme

Just some fun with a couple chord progressions. I have just started to learn about the modes, so I tried out a key change to Lydian for the main theme, highlighted by the long tones on the strings. My first post on YC, hope you enjoy.Time Traveller's Love Theme

Very lovely beginning, and nice crescendo throughout the piece. I liked the switching harmonies from 0:30-0:40, like venturing into some unknown land, however briefly. Maybe a somewhat drowsy child peaking through the backseat window of a car. Or timetraveller, that could work too Nice job, I liked it. Hope you post some more.

Very nice! Even though it's a short track, the swell 2/3s of the way through, plus the little bit of a stinger at the end really made the piece feel complete. This is something a lot of composers struggle with, creating a track only a minute or so long that has a shape to it but also doesn't sound like it simply drops off or leaves an idea incomplete! The first few moments reminded me of Satie's Gymnopedie no. 1, very hypnotic and engrossing. Not much I could suggest to change in it, I think it stands on its own very well! Good job!

There's some really really nice harmonies there, and in terms of mixing, it's excellent to me - what samples didyou use?? There's some excellent counterpoint there, though I feel that the strings were a little too sharp for my tastes at some points. The piano is really superb throughout though. There was a bad clash of harmony at 1:15 - was that intended??
