September 20, 201015 yr Composed as a demo for the game trailer Bioshock 2, music by Portia Graves. The video with music can be found here:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N12tzm63k58 Bioshock
September 21, 201015 yr Nice theme you got going here. Is this your own composition or is it a version of the song originally used for the trailer? It sounds pretty good, however things like your bass drum might use a bit more effect to it. Such as reverb or something, along with an occasional add of percussion to add to the feel of Bioshock. I played the original game, and it does have a sort of wonder in it that I think you accomplish with this piece. Maybe add a couple more effects and some varied percussion, and this would sound even better Great job on it! -Matt
September 21, 201015 yr Author Thanks for the comments. Sure, i'll take on what you said. I composed it to a silent version of the game trailer so i'm unaware of the original music. I've only just started dabbling in percussion, so will experiment even more Thanks
September 21, 201015 yr Anytime! It's cool to hear you make your own compositions for it as opposed to trying to vary up the already made theme. Also, glad to hear you're adding more percussion! I think if you do it real well with the percussion, this could be really great
September 21, 201015 yr Well, I watched your video and the original (with the original music) back to back. And I have to say. Yours made me want to play the game much more than the original did. Ergo, it did it's job. Better than the professionals, I might add. Keep up the good work!
September 22, 201015 yr very well done mushgal, i think the start up to 1:00 is cool job, mixing i think your timpani is abit detached from the rest of the mix. its capturing and makes you want to hear more, but if you know the game its kinda horror old sci-fi underwater thing, so i was looking for that too, but for a fun piece its pretty great.
