Down Blue Street

I really don't know where this belongs....it is sort of rock but sorta jazzy and ugh I can't decide D:Haha anyway....Apologies if you guys heard this before, but last time I deleted it sorta fast so hopefully I'll keep it up this time haha.Like most of my songs, this will have lyrics in the future. Until then though (Which has been delayed for a couple months now) we're stuck with the instrumental XDThe song is primarily about a guy who used to be at the top, he had everything until the job is taken down and he loses it all. Deeper thought is he starts drinking and all ultimately losing his wife and kids and everything. That he now lives on Down on Blue Street. However at the end is where the anger has built up and he decides to get his life in shape and he'll be back on top again. Course this will all be said when the lyrical version is done but until then, so you got an idea of what this is supposed to be about.Hope you guys enjoy! Thanks :)(BTW this is made with the software Mixcraft)

Down Blue Street

That's a really good idea. I love the idea of music being built around a story. Sounds much more jazzy to me. I can't wait for the lyrics.

This piece is way cool ^_^

I love the mellowness of the piece in the beginning, mixed with a sort of feeling of numb anxiety -- the piano really gives that vibe more than anything, especially in the middle sections.

The way it picks up with the wilder brass section is a really great way to end the piece, I think. It really does give a feeling of hope, from the previous drudgery. It reminds me of "That part" in a Broadway Musical where the protagonist is down and out, but after moping decides to get up and face life with renewed vigor. :D

I do think this is more of a jazz piece than a rock/pop song, but I guess it could be construed either way. :hmmm:

Very great piece, thanks for sharing!

Moderately interesting blues. Hard to say without the lyrics. I say moderately interesting because it's pretty hip, but also very cliche. I'm talking about the progression.

Also, you may not be able to do much about it, but your brass synths sound horrible. =/ It's a shame because about all of the others sound pretty okay.

Thanks for sharing, Dorby! Get crackin' on them lyrics.

Thank you guys for listening!

@Serge, Glad you liked it :D I have honestly always enjoyed the beginning as well haha. The end is also a fun part, I just enjoy the wildness of it haha. I'll try and give that song, "That Part" a listen! I always questioned whether this is jazz or not primarily because of the end section since it doesn't have too much of a swing to it. All in all very glad you enjoyed it :) Thanks Serge! (Btw how do I become a fan of people?)

@Peter, I see what you mean about the progression. With the lyrics though it will follow them very well so no worries :) As for the brass synths hahahaha, well...yeah that's about as good as I'll get them XD Even if I wanted to change them it's far too late now, as my computer got wiped out I lost a huge majority of new songs and this one was part of it so there's nothing that can be changed anymore to it sadly...I do have the mp3 though so I can still add the lyrics :D Thanks for reviewing!
