How to abbreviate rests on Finale 2004

Featured Replies

Hello guys,

Mastering Finale gives me a hard time. I was wondering if any you know how to abbreviate rests on Finale 2004. Meaning put a number on the measure instead of notating whole rests all the way through.

Thanks a million...

2004?

Nnn...that mighta been before they changed the interface a bit. I seem to recall 2005 being different from 2006 in doing multimeasure rests, so...not sure how helpful I can be.

Sorry. The user manual should be able to give you what you need, just takes a bit of legwork.

Press "F1"

Find "multi-measure rests"

Jesus... finale 2004? :) Right now the best notation program is sibelius 6 (I moved to it from finale 2010)If you like finale, use 2010 - it is way better than 2004
