Winter Odyssey

Hey guys,

It feels like I've been gone for a while! I've been in California for the past month on a family emergency. All is well though, and I am back home in Seattle :jedi:

Here's a little fantasy piece Im working on (seriously, what other genre would it be :lol: ).

Pretty straightforward, a few climaxes here and there, though somewhat minimalistic. It's snowing like hell here in Seattle so I thought this would fit!

Defiantly feels like a snow filled song. I'm not really sure where this could fit, but I could see it showing up in like a commercial or one of those holiday classics in areas. Keep at it, this is really nice! For where to go. Maybe a dynamic point, then slowing it down for like a quiet point or so, I dunno, all I do know is if you have to just rest on it a bit. It'll hit ya, and so far this is really turning out nice.^^

you took out some new grooves man, and it came out beautiful, kinda 12/8 with those vocals are really cool, and your lines are always so cool. if i really had to say something about improving it, it's because its too short. the problem with fabulous bass lines like this, they tend to mesmerize and root you in one place which is hard to evolve from. so you could try playing it on piano first see if it goes somewhere from there.

or also, the problem is in visualizing the whole picture, it's like you're waiting for something to happen from what you've done so far so you could get it from there, but sometimes its not enough-try to visualize first what could this piece be when its 2 minutes long, don't play at all, just focus on the vibe and see where it could go. i know, because you have a strong melody skill and it could take over the development of the music itself, instead of serving the vibe you're trying to give us.

This is awesomeness. It feels like a mix between Harry Potter and Narnia. Definitely transported me to a snowy world. If it sounds this pimp, I can't wait for you to finish !!! :D
