Let's make a piece together!

I vote Piano and Viola or Piano and Horn. Both sound fine.. I think the Viola would be more interesting than the horn, though.

Strings! my favorite!

HORN! :) I love the sound of that thing.

If people have no problem with Alto clef then viola is good. Other than that, or course Piano and Horn would be nice, as would clarinet or flute or oboe. But I've always loved the sound of viola and piano.

Lets do that then

I vote for it

I can learn alto clef easily enough.

But it won't be very technical at all.

Can we have horn?

I like Viola and Piano lets do it

I vote for this!

Okay I agree with either viola or horn. Maybe we could have both? And if someone prefers one to the other they can only write for one and the other gets a break, so they take turns to have a solo???

How would we do that without charts? plus we would have differant tempos pictured. ergo, wed all be thinking differant things.

I think a more simple step to take would be to make simple guitar chords, and work from there

I like this idea. It's a strange combination.

I wouldn't mind doing viola and horn and piano.

I actually wouldn't mind doing tenor sax, but when it's done I can simply transpose the viola/horn part to tenor sax cuz the ranges a nice and similar.

Okay.. we should get started soon.. lets make a decision together now.

How is Viola and Piano? Is this okay? Do you want to try this?

Btw, we can always do something else when we are done with another instrument.

Yes. Viola and piano.

Okay, who's going to start. I have an idea for a beginning, maybe I should?

Someone just post a possible start and we'll see what we can do

WAIT A SEC!!!!

First of all, I'm so in on this! Sounds fun and I've had pretty much the same idea before.

BUT. . .

Wouldn't the people with Finale Notepad or MIDI have to go first, because once you switch a piece to Finale, you can't go back to Notepad, can you?

Also, I vote for Viola/Piano. . .

May need to be more than 8 measures, though. If we all want to put a bit of ourselves into this, we dont want to limit others to repetition where it is needed, because let's face it, that happens. . .

Love the idea, let's do this!

Okay, Mitchell, you can start.

Shall we say between 8 and 16 bars? That gives us a bit more freedom. Maybe when everyones had a go we can all have a second go, if it's not too long already!?

Can everyone stick to MIDI? Make it on whatever program but post it as MIDI.

Okay I'm starting!

Is D minor okay with everyone? :D

  • Author

D minor is fine!

Shall I make a list of what order we go in, or shall we decide it as we go along?

Anyone like to volunteer to go 2nd/3rd/last etc?

I'll go second. What do I have to do exactly?

  • Author

When Mitchell posts his bit, download it and write the next 8-16 bars!

So far it's:

1-Mitchell

2-CreationArtist

Who would like to go third? I'll add you to the list.

Yeah. I'm done my 8 mesures.

It starts in a slow tempo. (♪=120)

Whoever's next can up the tempo after my intro.

Also, change the seventh mesure if you see fit.

Here you go. :D

Who wants to go 3rd?

In the mean time, why don't we begin as more people sign up.

  • Author

We have begun! It's your turn! Mitchell posted his introduction, it's your turn to download it and write the next bit!
