January 2, 201115 yr I did this last year, and was a complete failure. Didn't have time to practice, and my mic went to scraggy. So I just got a new portable mic for xmas, and the quality is not too bad! So I wanna try again, start of a new year! I can do a quick sight-read of your piece. Also, I'll be able to tell you it's playability. The piece would preferably be moderate tempo or slower, but it doesn't have to be. And one request per user. Recordings will always be on a Grand Steinway or Kawai. Look forward to some fun requests, cheers!
January 2, 201115 yr Can you record this for me: http://www.youngcomposers.com/profile/music/Ian/composition?entry=47443 You are a hero for doing this for us.
January 2, 201115 yr Very kind of you to offer this. If you have a chance, could you look at this piece? http://www.youngcomposers.com/profile/music/bkho/composition?entry=31829
January 3, 201115 yr This is a wonderfull idea, and if you have the chance, could you take a look at this for me? Two Part Invention No.2 Whenver you can, and let me know.
January 3, 201115 yr I realized that my piece had been updated, so I reuploaded the sheets. It's technically less challenging now.

January 3, 201115 yr Anything of mine would be cool. :) I tend to write freakin' hard stuff for piano, though. =/ Please let me know exactly how hard. Go to my music page, you'll be able to see it all.
January 4, 201115 yr Author Printed all of the music you posted, sight read through a couple but some of yours might take a little longer, some are harder than I thought. All great works btw! However, I sightread through alessandrogozzo's decently -- a lot of the notes, rhythms are off, and it seems a bit monotone -- which I'll rerecord because it doesn't do justice to such a graceful piece. But I just love the sound of my new mic -- it's actually a mic for my ipod touch. Amazing. Well, here's recording #1: alessandrogozzo - easy lyric piece #1 http://www.mediafire.com/?511cqnmrpaisyg1
January 4, 201115 yr hey, tx tx tx !!!!! im very excited, the sound is sweet as i like :) if u wanna re-record i only ask u to play it faster, near the metronomic indication... well, anyway u're very kind, I hope to return (if u need a drummer...) bye, ale
January 5, 201115 yr Wow, fantastic job with alessandrogozzo's piece! Yes the Alessandrogozzo's piece is very interesting and the perfomance is good
January 27, 201115 yr Author I'm actually upset and feeling stupid. I put my mic inside it's sealed bag, inside my school back. Come home, the sealed bag falls out of my bag (almost taunting me) with nothing in it. I haven't seen my microphone since. Sorry guys. I go to the lost and found every few days to see if it's there. But I don't know why anyone would NOT steal it. :/
January 27, 201115 yr uhhh, im very sorry for u .... and for our music :( good luck for ur search !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
January 27, 201115 yr I don't know what kind of mic we're talking about, but perhaps the YC community (seeing how beneficial your membership has been so far and your offerings) could arrange for a small donation (from the members)? I'd gladly offer 10-20$ to get a new mic for you, if the rest would also chime in... :)
January 27, 201115 yr Sepharite: if you have a paypal account, let us have it so we can get on with it... :)
January 27, 201115 yr hey, i have a proposal: probably we are not enough to pay the microphone, but id like to pay for my pieces. so, for example, i have 4 pieces (not much difficoult) and could pay 20e for piece. i think 20 euros or $ is a nice price for a recording and he could repay soon his mic. waiting for news, ale
January 27, 201115 yr Depends on the mics. I own some audioworks mics that cose around 3,000$, and along with the preamp we go more than 5,000$ in total, but I doubt we're looking at such prices... A decent mic could be around 200$, which is reasonable enough to be gathered with a few donations... And of course paying for a recording could also work, I don't doubt that, just saying...
January 28, 201115 yr Author Wow, thanks for the generous responses! The microphone was actually only $100. And about you guy's amazing generosity, I don't know... I generally don't accept money from people unless I truly deserve it. I'll sit on this one of a bit. Maybe, I'll get lucky and it'll turn up. Thanks again guys. Will report back.
