February 5, 201115 yr Well, I think it's too clean-sounding and clear to be metal, and metal sounds more violent, generally (the drums aren't insane enough, for instance :lol:) -- this is more rock and roll :) I like this, but it's really craving some vocal lines, rap or no. I can't really imagine rap really working with this song except in the A section, though, so if you do decide to go that direction, I suggest doing it partially and making the A section to focus of the rapping and let the other instruments/singing take center stage at the other sections. Or you can just make it straight-out singing. Either way, including a melody in this is a must. If you can find a way to record yourself singing whatever lyrics you'd make, that'd be super, but if you don't have that capability at this time, just delegate your lyrics to a different instrument for now, like an electric guitar. Anyhoo, I like this -- the overall setup you have here is really good and catchy. But something one must focus on, in today's flood of pop, is making a piece really stand out, like a sort of signature, almost. (I remember giving similar advice to someone a while back.) How you choose to do this is left up to your imagination and creativity. Make people know, when they here a song, "Hey, this must be Lavr!" In Pop, this is a good thing.
