World of the Aesir

Featured Replies

This is one of the first pieces I've wrote. Inspired by folk and viking melodies.

It has great potential, Very nice melodies and so :D

Keep it up :D

Yes, sounds Nordic, I couldn't identify all instruments so I can't comment the orchestration, if you could provide us the score, we could help you more. As one of your first works is fine, now you have to try to develop more your ideas, this piece could be just the theme exposition of a larger work, where you could expand the theme, make variations, modulations, altern themes etc.

I think working with an smaller ensamble than an complete orchestra will work better for you.

I agree, great melodies, and it has great potential. :)

Now, I must say, knowing a lot about nordic music, you need in E major an A#. It will create that sound that you hear in their music.

Great work though! I wish I had a score, though.... it would help.

Thanks for all the nice comments and criticism. I unfortunately cannot find the score of this piece. I recorded this about a year and half ago and I cannot find the Logic Pro session of this piece. It is either buried somewhere in my laptop or gone away into the abyss. I can say though that this piece uses the E dorian scale if you're wanting to know how to play it.
