A little theme that started from a violin doodle i came up with on a rainy day in august.

Wasteland

Welcome to YC, forsakethis! Nice piece.

Very retro RPG sounding.

That pause you have at 0:42, I'd take that opportunity to switch keys.

You start messing around with the mode a little later which is very welcome. Nice work.

The texture sounds a little thin right now. You could fill it up with an instrument playing some repeated notes or a 4 eighth note ostinato. I think it'll help drive the rhythm.

The drums are good. I'd mess around with them a bit more and play around with a simple, strong rhythm. If the percussion consistently plays on downbeats, then I think the rhythm for the whole piece will feel a lot tighter.

Cool piece, forsakethis! Have a listen to some other composers' works and leave them a comment! They just might return the favour.

Peace,

-John

This is neat, I could definitely imagine hearing this in an RPG.

It has an eery yet somewhat "epic" feeling to it.

I agree with John, you might try a few different rhythms on the drums. It'd definitely give it a more driving feel.

Interesting piece though :)

This sounds really cool. I agree with kevin_w. I could definetily see this showing in some sort of RPG.
