March 20, 201115 yr This is a piece I did late 2009. Not sure where my project files are.. I definitely notice things in it i'd like to change, but oh well.P.S. , I'm a complete noob when it comes to all of these fields I need to fill in, so please forgive me if I put something down wrong. Defy
March 20, 201115 yr A nice piece First off it would be great if you could upload the a pdf file of the score, it makes it a lot easier to review. It's quite a short piece you could do with extending some of the melodies and some more repetition would be nice of the slower parts especially. Also the ending feels quite rushed, I like the way it suddenly stops but maybe you could repeat the last few 2 bars just to give the listener the sense of the ending approaching. You could maybe consider developing the main themes a liitle more. I really like the themes though and the way you have used the percussion is also really effective in setting the mood of the piece. Well done abs260
March 21, 201115 yr Welcome to YC, kevin! Cool piece! Love the energy. What kind of scene do you see this fitting? A battle of sorts? Is it for a game or film? Nice change at 0:54. I think you can add some instruments here playing very subtle lines just to add a little colour to this section. Rest of it sounds pretty solid. What did you use to create this? Notation software or a DAW? I'm wondering because the mix could be improved a bit, but that's difficult to do in Finale. Great work, kevin! While I have your attention, check out Marius' <a href=""http://forum.youngcomposers.com/t25353/tips-for-getting-more-feedback/"" class="link" target="_blank">Tips For Getting More Feedbacktopic. It's very helpful for getting feedback and making friends. Don't worry about all the fields you have to fill in. A few of them, like Music Opus and Music Number, aren't really necessary for Game/Film. If you have questions about specific fields, just ask =) Peace, -John
March 22, 201115 yr Sounds pretty epic  Defininetly sounds like some kind of war or something is going on, but it really could fit in anything, be it film or video game. The movements fitted together very well, and the whole piece seemed to flow naturally (a major thing I have problems with). I would definetly like to hear what else you can compose.
