June 29, 200619 yr This is a little prelude I wrote perhaps for a scary movie . I just felt inspired and wrote it down. I recall darkness and a very murky mood when I wrote it though with a lots excitement. It's in g and it took me about 2 to 3 days to write the melody. The accompaniment took me about a week or so. I had some difficulties with the last measure of the climax. I had two musical options and choose this one. Also to write the accompaniment was a difficult task since it was my first time harmonizing a complete melody. ( I wrote the whole melody and a different string accompaniment in 3 days, but later I decided to use a piano one instead) I also respected the rules in classical writing. I must say these is a hard piece for any amateur cellist (just assuming) because of some of the fast high notes. Any comments(long or short) are appreciated. thanks for stopping by. Prelude #16.MUS
June 30, 200619 yr I don't quite get a haunting feel from this, only a kind of "sophisitcated" eerie sound. I'm sure a real human could get a better sound, though. Anyway, I like the melody and the piano accompanyment. I typically write the melody and accompanyment at the same time, or at least before I leave a section.

Thank you! I do too... though this time I didn't have many options.
June 30, 200619 yr It's really nice, i imported it into a midi to mp3 converter and the mp3 version sounds MUCHO eerier and haunting. I like it, Nice job.

July 4, 200619 yr Nice melody I like it a lot... you are very talented though your piano accompaniment could be a bit better.
