A multi-meter (4/4, 3/4, 7/8, 6/8, 2/2 ) quick, fun-sounding piece for concert band. Composed in 2010.The introduction sets the mood for a happy melody in saxes and clarinets. The melody moves to brass and then back to woodwinds in smooth transitions.A steady beat is then passed back in forth between woodwinds and low brass to accompany a sweeping melodic line in the high brass. The melody quiets down into a slower woodwind and chimes line. The main theme is quickly heard and the music dies down.A solo clarinet and solo flute have a quick conversation to an alto sax solo. A drum roll crescendos into the introduction to the 2nd section. The 2 main themes overlap and build to the final chord.
