This is for piano and string orchestra.Nothing fancy, but it has the same idea as Ravel's Bolero.

I can see the similarity with Ravel's Bolero -- the same kind of melody, which can seem almost banal at a glance, but when performed, is really quite captivating. I thought you captured that feeling quite well, because the melody is really very charming =)

It doesn't really share the more diverse harmonic language as the Bolero though -- it is more conservative, and at its current length, I didn't really feel like it was quite enough to carry the piece all the way through for 3:42 minutes. There are definitely more ways that you can vary the theme you have here, whether harmonically, rhythmically, melodically, ... etc. And this piece really seems to lend itself to variations.
