April 6, 201115 yr There are some great ideas in here! Really like the opening underlying chords in the beginning with the great horn theme over top. They work very nicely together. Some interesting chord changes around 1:00 which are unexpected and really appreciated listening wise. The ostinato strings around the 3:00 minute mark have potential. I just think a little bit more execution on the dynamics as well as some more unexpected melody lines in there may boost that section a bit. Other than that, some great ideas here and it was great to here your interpretation of "The Moon", could totally envision some of the things you described while listening to this.
April 8, 201115 yr Love the composer influences and the theme for this one. Such great libraries to be wasted in FL =P. You really should get Cubase or Pro Tools if you can. Something where you have more control over these great libraries. Right now, all the instrument samples sound realistic, but the sequencing of them feels a little robotic. In terms of the silver brightness of the moonlight, what about wind chimes or a triangle? I think those would work great. Nice choirs at 4:13. Soft and full sound to them. Nice job, theOaksdonsad. If you can, fix up the sequencing so they sound more realistic. Also, turn down the volume in some of these loud spots where the track is distorting. Peace, -John
April 9, 201115 yr Author Thanks for the comment, John =) Do you know if Cubase or Pro Tools work on PC, or is just Mac? Another problem that I have is that my PC has such a low memory for these times... I think I'm lucky it can work with FL studio
April 9, 201115 yr Cubase and Pro Tools both work on PC. You could also try Nuendo. Memory is tricky. Maybe it's time to upgrade your parts! Memory should only be a hundred or two. I did that with mind last year. Got more RAM and more storage space. Very good investment. Peace, -John
