Shogun (Short Version)

Shogun: The hereditary commander of the Japanese army who until 1867 exercised absolute rule under the nominal leadership of the emperor.Started off to be solely a percussive, driving rhythm and later developed into an ethnic piece. The goal for this piece was to achieve that big, epic, Hollywood sounding drums. The Koto and Shakuhachi were just an afterthought. This is the short version and a longer version is in progress.

i loved the plucked string instrument line , was that a koto??

but i think it didnt sound very ethnic , maybe you should have used more ethnic instruments , maybe a wind instrument .

overall its a great piece and i look forward to hear the full version . keep it up !

Absolutely love the percussion in this! And I adore anything Japanese (actually just did a piece in the traditional style very recently), so this definitely pleased me!
