There are things, such as the long (but lovely) introduction, that I would like to criticise - but I just can't. This fine motet is beautiful enough to make such criticisms seem petty. It seems to me that this would be a lovely addition to any solemn Mass at Communion, or to a solemn Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament; the difficulties in presenting it liturgically with such a long introduction are worth while.

Could the piece possibly be performed with one on a part in the strings?

You're clearly a slightly older, more accomplished composer than most here, and being one of those myself, I'm glad to see you in our midst.

thank you very much. I'm glad you liked it. You're right, this motet will be a communion motet for a mass I'm composing nowadays. I'm not an english speaker, and I am not sure to understand your sentence about the performance on a part in the strings.
