The Video Game: August-September Monthly Competition 2012

Featured Replies

Augh! I was just ready to say what I had was good enough, and now I have to work with this same darn theme for another month?? :P

Also, the date it is due says September 31st, but unless I'm remembering wrong, I think it's, "30 days hath September..." :)

  • GO FOR IT! OMG. :D I'm doing a zelda theme. Maybe one of the older games, or a tune from Ocarina of Time.

So we expect something even better than usual. ;)

  • I guess reading the rules before asking would have helped me. Lol...

No one answered my question. Is this traditional theme and variations or a fantasy?

I think your question has been answered twice actually: either one is acceptable.

Yep: I have answered that question twice. i refuse to sound like a broken now.

I'm in! Sign me up!

Also, what are the submission rules/processes? I just joined this site moments ago and the details are not listed above.

Thanks!

I'm making a thread on it now. :)

Tokke, your question has been answered twice. But, I will clarify: The variations need not be "so distinct". But, they can be if that's your preference. Please LABEL the variations.

Well, I guess that leaves me time to work on it more.........

Keep counting me in. :shiftyninja:

I wanted an answer from the guy who actually makes the rules: Morivou. I'm sorry Aniolel, but after your last judging effort I don't consider you to be sound judgement on what the rules are.

Since this was extended I might as well keep going.

Fantastic. I will be here in October to judge.

See? ;) This will be fantastic!

Judging moved to October? :( I was going to judge over labor day weekend; I have actual TIME then.........Well, I'll see how this plays out.

  • Author

You have nine days to judge. Shouldn't be an issue even if you did one piece a day.

Since there is doubt of me ability to judge here, I will prove my work. I am not going to drop out as a judge but give strong feedback and criticism in my comments. I encourage of you to produce music that strives to your all skills and abilities. Good luck to you all.

Quick point: eventhough I am a judge, I will be glad to provide an unoffical answer to those who ask them and then allow morivio to step as well.

We are just going to extend the competition to TWO months...

Leading me into temptation ;) ...?

Come on in! We have open spots!

I'm guessing that there is a limit of one submission per participant, right?

  • Author

Yeah. Just one, please. :) Don't kill the judges.

I'll do what I can, I'm still going to be very busy (I just randomly decided to add another movement to my Viola Concerto) but for now, I'm staying :) thanks for the extension!

Scratch my name off the list.
