Finale: Easy Tremolos Through Staves

Recommended Posts

There's a plug-in in Finale 2010 which creates tremolos very easily: we just select the two notes of the tremolo, and it changes them. However, I'd like to do it through staves; this method (selecting and... err... pressing the button to change) doesn't work. Is there any other way to do it?

Just to clarify: the tremolos I'm doing are like these: two notes in octave, with noteheads like half-notes, but beamed like 16th notes.

In fact it's not that simple, but I have already figured out how to do (There IS a way to do it, and I almost did, by using 16th notes, with hidden pauses, beamed them across barline and changed the notehead shape, but many "glitches" started to appear, so I gave up and took off the bar lines, making a very big measure, so that I didn't need to crossbeam notes). Thanks anyway^^

I knew it is possible to alter manually the beams and noteheads, and hidden rests, etc. But that is nothing but trouble, unless you shut down the auto update feature, and lock the measures in the staff. Things I never do, unless the work is done, and engraving is all there is left for me.

But no problem.
