Composer Name Help

Featured Replies

Please, anyone know which classical composer write this kind of music? I heard Danny Elfman wrote in this style, not sure if it's his own signature.

Is this a trick question?

Thx Ken. Only in movies? or this could be Alban Berg or Aaron Copland? I haven't checked them yet though, a lil help would be much appreciated.

The example sounded tonal, and indicative of a chamber style used in many British films that don't use American pop music. Many do. Yech! Berg is distinctively atonal and Copeland is distinctively ... Copeland. Both of these composers tended to write for large orchestras, but I'm no expert on them. Do a little research on the example and work your way back. To me the sound was not very distinctive, the way a lot of film music is. Good Luck!
