June 1, 20169 yr So, I recently started getting into composing music, and thought starting out with piano might be a good idea. I felt like this is a good place to get some feedback, though I did see most people post scores of their pieces. I don't really have any, since I made this in FL Studio. I hope that's not a problem? Anyway, some thoughts would be much appreciated, personally I felt like I may have had too many repetitions, but I really have no idea.
June 1, 20169 yr It's a good enough chord progression, over which you have a variety of melodies, but the progression itself needs a little variation. Even small things can make a big difference. For example, try going to an E major chord instead of E min. From there you can go to A minor. And from there, back to E min. Do this, or something like it, once or twice and you'll have more ideas popping into your head.
June 1, 20169 yr Author I should have mentioned that I started about 2 months ago and really just taught myself through trial and error. I really have no idea about any sort of terminology. Although I should probably look up at least the basic stuff. I think I understand what you mean though, and I can only agree. I just needed a lead where to put in some variation, I'll see where your hint gets me, thanks for the quick reply.
