McOmghall
Hi, I'm trying to compose tracks for a game I'm working on. I based my orchestral arrangements on the leitmotiv of Alan Parson's Project's Pyramid (G - C - Eb - D), so let me know your opinion on this :) Overture_score.mid
Luis Hernández
The midi sounds are not the best to appreciate the music. I don't know which is your musical background, but I think you are using a set of instruments (six) without exploring their possibilities. In other words, there is a strong sense of "verticality". The notes go together almos all the time. That is not reach enough. Usually, I don't write for instruments I don't know. I am focused on the piano for years, and I still have lots to learn. I would get some instruments and try to get good sounds. If you like pop try a solo instrument (melody), strings and bass. Or if you prefer classic: the piano (not easy) or some kind of duett (violin, cello), or string quartet. This last formation is enough to explore all kind of melodies, countermelodies, harmonic backgrounds...
