Concerto for euphonium and string orchestra

Featured Replies

This is one of rare examples in Slovenian literature for euphonium. It is neoclassical concerto with all neccessary features: sonata form, easy-to-follow motifs, transparent orchestration and, frank, even clear tonal centre G major. I was a bit inspired by Hindemith's "Gebrauchmusik" since there is not enough concertos for euphonium to venture into experimental world of art (which is, frequently, terrible for ears and mind as well).

Your music is overwhelming. Well, it's not difficult to notice you're a professional composer.

The orchestration here is so "perfect" (full of what I call modern counterpoint), the harmonies so exquisite... I can only say this is delightful.... Congrats. The middle section (the slow one) is great...

Well done.  Great work for a very underappreciated instrument.  You allowed the player to show off the capabilities of the instrument in both range and flexibility.  ( Nicely performed also! Kudos to Luka!)

like it. there is somethng very rewarding and accessable in your harmonic language.

i love the timbre of the high range, it sounds pure in an overtne way, if that makes sense...

for me this forum usually is about helping, obviously you dnt need that :) although appreciation does.
