Shoutbox

Over the past few weeks I have had a problem with the shoutbox.

When I hit refresh it goes back a few minutes prior to the most recent post and stays there, even

when I post a message it stays stuck in the past.

Are you using Opera, Jeremy? It sometimes caches things superfluously, which might cause the shouts to become "stuck in the past" as you put it, though I thought I fixed the whole Opera caching issue months ago when spc1st raised it separately.

Opera? I don't know what that is. My browser is IE 6.0.

I'm afraid I'm out of suggestions. Next time it happens, let me know, including some further details if possible (e.g. what you were doing at the time, which shouts got "stuck").

That migth be your solution, Jeremy. Just download a new browser. IE is just about the worst there is.

I suppose its not really that big of a deal. Every few refreshes it takes the posts back about 5 minutes, but

if I post something new or just send a few dots "..." it refreshes it rightly.

I added no-cache headers for the global shouts display. That should stop browsers caching the shouts. Tell me if you experience any more problems.
