villain theme

Featured Replies

This was meant to be the theme for a villain at the height of his powers. I've already had one comment on one part of the harmony but please let me know if theirs any other stuff within the piece that you find distracting, as I can only see the symbols near the start as one of the main problems.

Thanks Rowan.

Cool! Really edgy sounds, good build and execution.

One thing, I caught onto the guitar loop after about the third time it repeated. You're adding some really beautiful work in on top of it, which helps to mask that the loop is unchanging. Have you considered either developing the guitar loop to play off of the other parts coming in, or perhaps reducing it to really let the other parts stand out?

This is really cool, love hearing good work - keep it up!

Thanks man, never had my work described as edgy before, but yeah I believe I lowered it in volume and we took it out for the last part i guess i just didnt lower it enough.

Thanks for the reply, Rowan.

I really like the overall theme here but a couple things I personally found a bit distracting were the random cymbal crashes before the cymbal roll. I find that cymbals without a drum pattern follow up sounds awkward.

When the snares came in the overall sound was really unique although that moment didn't last.

In general the quality sounds good and it's very creepy but engaging at the same time. Nice work.
