January 17, 20179 yr Experiment with the use of slurs in the flute part. A lot could be done with it, especially in the second part, with 16th note passages. There just needs to be more in my opinion. Right now it seems like there's an intro, then an exposition of a grand sonata form, but it doesn't go anywhere. It's not a bagatelle, so it shouldn't be hit and run...
January 17, 20179 yr this is so sweet! i bboxed along with the feel of the 5/4 rhytm and very lyrical lines, cool lines! Only I expected one more flute sound at the end, but that's all. Thanks for your ideas!
January 22, 20179 yr I'd say you are right that this is not quite chamber music. Add jazz drums and bass.
