fishyfry Posted January 22, 2017 Share Posted January 22, 2017 I think you've done a pretty good job with the harp. I can somewhat tell that it was "free-writing" in some of the places where you had counterpoint between several woodwind voices. Their combination sounded a little awkward to me, so I would recommend taking a second look at those melodies and maybe doing a little bit more planning as to how they all fit together. There are some spots that crossed voices affect the writing as well as the old writer's trap of "having everything do something". Sometime's that's just not important. It builds slowly, so why not go further with that with the percussion and brass sections. It also lets the counterpoint be divided by section which is a cool effect. Cheers!
