Would like feedback on new piece "Mortalis Divinitus"

Featured Replies

Hello! So I've been playing around with a music program I've got and I came up with this piece of music. I used a written score I had earlier and then orchestrated it all with MIDI. However, I'm having trouble finding the document, though I did upload the music onto Youtube. I would love to hear feedback; Personally, (and in retrospect)  this piece seems to be quite repetitive at parts, and I think that I will definitely be changing that. Anyway, here it is:

Mixing and synching is really uneven; a lot of things don't line up at all. Though maybe you wanted it that way? I don't know.
It's a bit repetitive, but my main problem is that you stop between almost every section... have some things flow more, you know? It's a bit disconcerting having something built up only to fall before the climax so much it becomes a pattern.
The melody is good. It's not so much repetitive as it is in desperate need of development. Go for it! It's a good start!

^^^yep, what Monarcheon said.

Thanks guys! I'll make the appropriate changes. My only question is (to Monarcheon) is what exactly you meant about the mixing and synching?

Balance in terms of dynamics are off, especially in the beginning.
It also sounds like your beats and melodic lines don't line up with rhythms/beats or baselines.
