I also like history. Particularly the middle ages, narrow that down to the period called "the high middle ages" (roughly 1000-1200)

For a far longer time, like centuries before, one island supplied the marble for the city of Constantinople. Much of that can now be found beautifying facades in Venice, Italy. Thanks to the 4th Crusade. But I digress. This island, is special and was always seen as such by the Romans.

I think it's interesting that you start off your description with the 'High Middle Ages' and then go back further to provide information regarding Marmara -I think you should provide some insight into the linkage your constructing here (particularly for those of us who aren't too knowledgeable on this topic). 

Given this is my second viewing of your work, I think it's safe to say that you're very much into the New Age stuff. I saw it a little in the Lonesome piece. This one is even more strongly reminiscent of Yanni. Not bad at all -I was a fan as a kid! Anyways, very enjoyable. Would love to see a score to give a more fruitful review of your work.

I'm not a great fan of the arrangement/orchestration of this piece. I feel like you could digress much more from the original themes and harmonies. The way it is right now feels very  repetitive, especially with most elements in the orchestration remaining the same throughout the piece.

As you didn't provide any sheets for this piece, I feel like you composed this directly in a DAW, which is often very encouraging of this type of problem. The sheer fact that looping is easy to do, people end up looping their ideas and conforming them to very simple forms without askind themselves if that's what the music really needs. I'm not saying that this is what you did, but that's how it sounds to my ears.
