August 27, 200619 yr The piece is about 5 minutes in length. Please do not copy or use for any purposes besides listening. I would gladly have criticism. The composition was created by PrintMusic! 2004. The chord progressions are very simple; I just used I and V. It is written in A minor. EDIT: Apparently the attachment didn't work. I shall post a link: http://www.zshare.net/download/age-of-legends-mp3.html

August 28, 200619 yr Author How about critiquing my lovely work? I think that that would be much more productive.
August 28, 200619 yr howdy othello, okay. so here goes. the intro was great. only thing i didn't think fit was the timpani. the constant timpani in the intro made it sound like a cartoon of some sort. it can come in a bit later. that constant percussion, not exactly sure what kind of percussion that's supposed to be (sounded like snare tapping the edge?). it's good. but it dragged on a bit too long. it went on for approximately 48 seconds. in the beginning it was nice. but by around 30~40 seconds it just started to annoy me. now between 0050 and 0108, i can't exactly tell what's being played by the cello because of a lack of dynamics, but it sounded like it was a long sustained cello note. I don't think you can play a prolonged note for 18 seconds. again. maybe it's just the sampling connected what are seperated notes that i can't tell from this recording. 0110 on was great. though if you're ever going to do a recording for better quality. i'd suggest shortening the staccato strings even more. i think it can work better if you had it to something like that of bass notes in 0300. at 0336. some hit came in. i can't tell what that was. but it didn't sound too right. the repeat in the end sounded great. the cello here, i think, is probably the highlight of the piece. it sounded great. fitted the music well. not very fond of that choral but i think it worked alright too. generally, i liked the beginning and the end. the middle was just a little muggy. good effort. hope this helps. pete.
