Allegretto in C

This is an experimental light hearted piece, I thought it would be interesting to put a couple of chromatic 3/4 bars within a 6/8 piece and then develop those bars later on in a more exciting way. The result sounds quite comical. It has two sections, an 8 bar A section and a longer B section which is repeated with a different ending for a more resolute ending.

On a minor note; I compose on my phone with a free app that as far as I can tell doesn't have the feature of changing a repeat ending with numbers 1 and 2 so I had to just literally copy and paste the repeat so that the second repeat is different.

I like it!  The 3/4 bars are a good idea but I think what would have been even more interesting is if you had created a hemiola effect by having one of the hands stay in 6/8 while the other plays in 3/4.  It's great as it is though.  You create a nice contrast by having both hands suddenly in octaves before giving way to a solo right hand section.  That's too bad about your software not allowing 1st and 2nd endings but I'm glad to see that you're doing what's necessary to get your intent across.  Thanks for sharing!

Thanks!  I don't know if I'm THE most prolific LoL - besides, sometimes less is more.  But I do feel like I learn a lot from reviewing other people's music but there are plenty of other reviewers on this website who have an unparalleled attention to detail.  You yourself are also a very helpful reviewer since you frequently compose pieces inspired by the composers you review.  So thanks for that - everyone does their part to make this website a great place I think.
