"Bittersweet" for Strings

Featured Replies

After years of not having motivation to finish a piece of music I scrumped one out today. I'm pretty proud of it. For the first time in years I put in the final cadence of a piece not cringing at it.

This one surprised me. At first I didn't like it, but it shaped into something beautiful.

Nice use of mixing the instruments up, it didn't feel like you favored one over the other. Definitely keep up your studies in music, there were times when I wished to hear more articulation, and well placed pizzicato or maybe slurring to a staccato note might have done some justice.

With it being so short, it would sound great for a scene of a movie though. Very cinematic, is that what you were going for?

Nicely done,

I guess you could say the piece was bitter and then sweet? But I didn't really have a goal with this piece. I started off just thinking about how I like 6ths, and made a piece sort of resolved around 6ths. I just wanted to music on paper.

Very nice, sounded quite soothing.
