Elegy String Quartet in Dm

Featured Replies

Hi, that's a Elegy in memory of my grandmother. She died 29th October.

A beautiful Elegy full of emotion- .................... with a Baroque feel.  There is well thought out contrary motion throughout the work.

It's really beautiful! Excellent job utilizing counterpoint to express the emotional content in a deep and coherent manner. The music itself is very moving, you've definitely gotten the elegiac feel down. Also, I'm sorry for your loss.

Anyway, beautiful composition, I really enjoyed listening to it!

This is very beautiful and very moving. My condolences and I hope that writing this helped. Also, I can't understand all that is written at the end, but in your music definitely one can see and hear the light of love turning on. What language is it?

Hi everyone, thanks for your comments and good wishes.

My verses at the end of the score are written in Catalan, my mother tonge. It is spoken in a region of Spain sorrounding Barcelona.
